Uncle Sam's Top MLS Picks

Sunday, May 25th

Seattle have been a revelation lately, and perhaps with flashes of brilliance from the Portland Timbers, nobody is playing better than the Sounders at the moment.

They finally appear to have shaken off the injury jinx that's had so many quality players sat on the sidelines, and the points are starting to roll in.

And the goals.

San Jose and Dallas have conceded eight goals between them: the fans are starting to dream.

Today's trip to the LA Galaxy is indeed very tough; just how New York won last week is beyond me. But the fact remains that the Galaxy are looking less than solid right now, and they are there for the taking.

Stan James will give you 10/3 on a Seattle victory: while smaller stakes are advised, they will certainly give you a run for your money.

Quite...

In the other game today, between the New York Red Bulls and Columbus Crew, I expect it to be tighter scoring-wise.

New York really looked shaky last time out, despite defeating the LA Galaxy, and I would not be surprised to see the Crew  score at least once - they've scored in 8 of their opening 11 games - which leads to the conclusion that Columbus + one goal is a solid call. That you can get 23/20 with Sky Bet is even more tempting...

They didn't like him much either...

Tim Cahill scores the winner against LA Galaxy.

Seattle demolish the San Jose Earthquakes 4-0; a win that was even more impressive than last time out's 4-2  over Division Leaders FC Dallas.
