Can DC United end the clubs longest winless run tonight against Kansas City?
Washington's unlucky streak was extended to seven games after losing 2-1 at Dallas last weekend.
Kansas are in fine form after beating Houston in their second road game, ending Houston's unbeaten home record.
Kansas hold a five game winning streak over DC, this is the second time the teams have met this season. At their last meeting Kansas snatched victory over DC in the 89th minute with a goal from Claudio Bieler. DC haven't won at Kansas since 2007.
DC united head coach Ben Olsen, said after the game
“We lost the game. But, I was proud about the overall commitment and the way they went about things tonight. The spirit was good. They looked like a team that cared and wanted to dig themselves out of the situation they we’re in. That’s important.”
Kansas are tied for second place in the Eastern Conference with 20 points from 12 matches, and looked the better team against Houston.
Sporting must be the team to beat tonight!
