It's all going just peachy for the Red Bulls right now. Houston's shock home defeat to the Revs means that with a win here and New York can extend their lead at the top to four points as we reach the one third-played stage.
The same cannot be said for the Galaxy: back in third in the West and a full seven points off FC Dallas. But the Texans' defeat last night to a rapidly improving Seattle Sounders means that a victory at New York and the gap is reduced to four.
This is the only time these two will meet, just like last year; the Galaxy got the decision by a single Joel Lindpere strike that day.
This time around, LA are no slouches on the road, unbeaten in their last four: an impressive stat going into one of their toughest tests.
