Newcastle really don't like playing Arsenal, and today they face a Gunners side looking to cement a Champions League spot.
This is not going to be easy for the home side...
Newcastle boss Alan Pardew added extra fuel to the fire pre-match with a comment that beggars belief (for more, read The Shark on Friday's column, published yesterday). The Geordie faithful have suffered an arduous season, and his flippant remark has not gone down well on Tyneside.
Arsenal are looking to pip Spurs to the fourth Champions League spot and have past form in doing so. With Arsene Wenger finally finding some semblance of form, a win here will mean that whatever Spurs do at home home to Sunderland it will not be enough to wrestle the 4th spot from the Emirates this time around.
A fitting final game to have on Sky Sports for the 2012/13 season: one can only hope that Pardew is made to eat his words and his team come out all guns blazing.
