LA Galaxy v Seattle Sounders

Galaxy Heartbroken. Sounders on fire...

Western Conference, Sunday May 26th

23:00 EDT

Setting the Scene:

The LA Galaxy took the long trip to New York and dominated every department except one; the stat that read full-time: NY 1 LA 0. Donovan and Keane worked liked demons up front, and could easily have had a brace each; instead they left with nothing.

The Seattle Sounders faced a daunting task at home to Western Conference leaders FC Dallas, but hammered in four for the second time in a fortnight, as the Greens shocked the Texans and recorded their third straight win.

This is the game of the weekend.

No doubt about it.

Fever Hot Spot: if you fancy a 4-2 win today, it's a best-priced 70/1. A 4-2 Seattle win is even bigger: a best-priced 150/1, both prices from

Last time out: Seattle continue on their streak: this time handing out a 4-2 thrashing to Western Conference Leaders FC Dallas. A 4-2 Seattle win today is priced an awesome 125/1 with

Despite the excellent performance on the east coast, New York do appear to have a soft underbelly when it comes to the back four - they have lost three of their last four - and a tightening of the defense is an absolute necessity now that they are up against a strike-force of Martins and Johnson for the Seattle Sounders.

The way in which they tore open the Dallas defense (4-2 was an injustice, it could have easily been six) was highly impressive. Seattle are in fine form right now, and be rightly confident of taking at least one, maybe three, points back up the coast.

Fever Hot Spot: Seattle hit men Obafemi Martins is a best-priced 16/1 to score two or more goals, with

Seattle also have a grudge to settle against their Western Conference opponents last season: they will be fired up alright. The Sounders are now unbeaten in six after a pretty awful start (taking just 2 points from their first available 15).  But the MLS is a marathon, not a sprint, and Seattle are most definitely getting into top gear now: this will be a real test for LA, make no mistake.

Fever Hot Spot: in what should a wide-open, attacking game, you can expect plenty of corners.  Bet 365 are offering a ridiculously good 5/4 that there are more than ten: we think that there will be.
