Reds say goodbye to an Anfield Legend...

Liverpool v QPR

Sunday, 19th May, 16:00 GMT

Carragher's finest moment: 2005 in Istanbul.

Jamie Carragher has been a wonderful servant to Liverpool Football Club.

The Bootle-born lad has never, ever considered anything but Liverpool red, and will receive the most fitting of send-offs from the Kop on Sunday afternoon. With over 700 Liverpool appearances to his name, he has been the winner of winner of the Champions League, the FA Cup (twice), the Super Cup (twice), the UEFA Cup, the League Cup (three times), the Community Shield (twice) and the FA Youth Cup.

It has been a truly illustrious career, and one that has guaranteed him legend status on Merseyside.

On Sunday, he plays his very last game for the team he adores.

There won't be a dry eye in the house.

Some say that Carragher should play on for at least another year - just three goals conceded in the Reds' last six games may attest to that - but a decision has been made, and QPR will be the last team he faces in full combat (expect a guest appearance in Steven Gerrard's testimonial in August).

Visitors QPR have had a torrid time of it, and come into this one without a win since the 9th March, and just two points to show for their efforts since defeating Aston Villa. Looking at the form stats, added to Liverpool's solid form (with or without Gerrard and Suarez), we fully expect Rangers to lose this one too.
